Yamaha FZ 350 – Combining Yamaha FZ 16 and RD 350

This is what we enthusiasts were waiting for – Real power with precise looks. That’s what mechanic has done with 2 of spare RD 350 engines. He had 2 Yamaha Rajdoot RD350 engines at his disposal, he rebuilt one of them with brand new sleeves from Bangalore and standard ART pistons, modified the Chasis of the Yamaha FZ16 to fit RD’s engine into it, modified the CDI unit, removed the Cathaletic Converter out of the exhaust and increased the volume of exhaust pipes and added a manifold that connects both exhaust pipes (underneath) into one. He also decreased the no of teeth on the rear sprocket and many other smaller mods.

After a long gap we are again back with a post, where we would like to highlight one of the innovative use of the R&D derived for a specific region and ease of use.
My recent visit to Tamil Nadu gave an insight on the Indian two wheeler industry. I observed a unique trend among the owners that was very innovative that almost 90% of the people having a motorcycle installed a special leather bag over their fuel tank for practical purpose like carrying small things/gadgets.

YAMAHA INDIA Launches FAZER 150

TODAY Yamaha India launched its new Fazer, its third bike on the platform of FZ 16. First FZ was launched with the macho looks then FZ-S which had a different color scheme and some styling on the front head lamp rest remained the same. The fazer is powered by a 153cc engine producing 14PS of max power at 7500rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6500rpm same as the FZ 16.
This new Fazer comes with a quarter fairing and rest remains the same as the FZ16, Fazer is priced at Rs72,000 (ex-showroom delhi).
Fazer is available in four colors – Electric Blue, Midnight Black, Lava Red and Flaming Orange.
Tips to Take Care of Motorcycle Chain
